This book is about a magician who is having difficulty with his magic hat trick. He meets a bear who shows him how to jump into his hat. Milo misplaces his hat on the subway one morning. the bear was so tired of being in the hat he decided to pop out and scare people. He eventually returns the hat back to Milo and helps him with his show. It then is time for the bear to hibernate, so he will no longer be able to help Milo. Milo must take everything he has learned from the bear and perform alone-jumping in and out of his own hat
