The Three Pigs

The Three Pigs
By: David Weisner

(Traditional Literature)

1st house was made of straw, and when the wolf went to blow the house down he blew so hard that he sent the pig right out of the story.
2nd house was made of sticks, and the pig crawled out of the story before the wolf could eat him joining pig #1.
3rd house was made of bricks, and the pig escaped with the two other pigs.
The pigs wanted to explore outside of their normal story and didn’t want the wolf to come after them, so they folded the page of the wolf into a paper airplane and went for a ride.  They crash and wonder into the fairy tale of “Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle…”  They left there and continued  to find a fairy tale with a dragon who the prince was trying to slay.  The pigs help the dragon escape.  The dragon the cat and the three pigs go on an adventure.  They come back to the three pigs' story and the third pig shows everyone his brick house.  The pigs decide they want to go home so they all put the story back together and when the wolf tries to blow down the brick house the dragon comes out and scares him away.  They live happily ever after and all have soup in the brick house.
